Some days at Patriot Lifting stand out more than others. Not because of a jobsite deadline or a tough pick but because of what those days represent.
The day our new 165-ton crane arrived was one of those moments.
We documented the entire experience on video from early morning logistics to the moment the crane rolled into the yard—and it perfectly captures what growth looks like behind the scenes.
The Day Started with Logistics, Not Glamour
Before the crane itself ever showed up, there was work to do.
The morning kicked off with three separate trailers arriving at the shop, each loaded with critical components:
Counterweights
Jib Extensions
Blocks
A Triple Axel Dolly
This wasn’t a single delivery—it was a coordinated unload that required planning, space management, and teamwork. Each piece was unloaded carefully and staged properly, knowing everything would come together once the crane arrived.
It was a reminder that big equipment doesn’t just “show up ready.” There’s a process and every step matters.
The Waiting Game
Once everything was unloaded, it turned into a waiting game.
The yard was quiet, but the anticipation wasn’t. Everyone knew what was coming. Phones were out. Eyes were on the road. You could feel the excitement building as we waited for the main event.
Then, finally the trailer carrying the crane pulled in.
First Reactions: Seeing It Pull In
There’s something about seeing a new crane arrive for the first time that never gets old.
As the trailer rolled into the shop, reactions said it all. This wasn’t just another piece of equipment it was a milestone. A sign of growth. A payoff for a lot of hard work behind the scenes.
We captured those first moments on video: the looks, the comments, the appreciation for what it took to get to that point. You can watch the reaction in the video! (Link at the bottom)
Getting It on Its Feet
Once the trailer was parked, it was time to get to work again.
The team installed the two front tires, officially getting the crane on its feet. From there, we began setting up the crane.

Setting It Up and Getting Familiar
With the crane assembled, we did what any crane crew does with a new machine we spent time getting familiar with it.
We set it up, moved it around, and started learning how it felt, how it responded, and how everything came together. No rush. No pressure. Just hands-on time with a crane that’s about to become a major part of our fleet.
It wasn’t about production that day it was about understanding the machine and appreciating the moment.
More Than a Crane Arrival
This video isn’t about specs or load charts. It’s about:
The behind-the-scenes work no one usually sees
The logistics that make big equipment possible
The excitement of growth
The people who make Patriot Lifting what it is
Moments like this are why we document the journey not just the jobs.
